Try Tri Tri

So today I'm going to TRY to TRI in my second TRI. Did you get that??? Yep we're having baby. Complete shock for us seeing how we fell into the 3% category of contraception not working! Apparently, someone else had a different plan for us ;) Things have been crazy around here lately and as my mom put it..."That's just life Jen." Ummm, thanks Mom...I guess. So I'll be attempting to finish this Triathlon and hoping there is not too much puking along the way. I'm sure I'll be bringing up the rear in the race pack that I won't have to really worry about anyone getting offended by it. Anyway, I'll post after the weekend. Not sure if any beached whale pictures of me in my wetsuit will quite make it to the blog but at least I'll confirm if I'm alive.

Here is the last Triathlon I did at 11 years old coming in last place! Somehow I scored a First Place trophy and medal for the honor of coming in last but first in my age division. Don't think that will be happening again.

p.s. I know you want a pair of those sweet running tights. Gosh I had style.

Are you kidding me?! Thats awesome! Congratulations! On both things, the triathlon and the baby news! You are an inspiration. I guess we'll be planning for another Turk at co-op one day! Maybe a baby girl Turk!

What a way to announce! As I was reading both of the last entries I couldn't help smiling at your mom's comment about life and thinking "Happy Mother's Day!" along with it. I think you have summed up all the emotions of being a mom in the last 2 captions: the good, the hard and the love that comes from it all. we'll put in our vote for some more estrogen at your house!

Love the Tri announcement. So Clever. I can't wait to hear how it goes. If you can do the Triathalon Pregnant I can to a Marathon NOT Pregnant. Can't wait to see you soon.

Okay so let me just get this straight. In a weeks time since I've seen you Jack went down the slide and put a stick through his eyelid and flipped out of the bed, Max had a seizure and had do go to Primary's in an ambulance, you did a triathalon and you are pregnant!!! And on top of it all it's the week of Mother's Day. Not quite my idea of the perfect Mother's Day holiday but is really more of what Mother's do and just keep smiling through it. The amazing thing is on top f all of that I'm sure you shot a couple of family pictures and did a wedding or two. Seriously could you just complain a little bit to make the rest of us feel better about ourselves. Congratulations of completing the tri and to be in your second trimester. And I can't believe that about Max. Wish I would have known to help you out. Jeff would have loved to come and save the day with a Zoll. Jeff's sister has epilepsy and they blame it on a hard fall when she was young. It didn't show up until she was in college though. Scary. Hopefully they find out what is wrong. Seriously Jen--rough week. Hopefully the next one is better.

You are amazing! Congrats on the pregnancy. I'm hoping for a boy or a girl for you. Chances of my wish coming true are pretty high. A girl would be fun because, dang, you'd do it right. But, you have the cutest boys, so that would work too. Oh, and sexy picture. I didn't even recognize you. Your thirties have been nice to you.

I don't even recognize you in that picture. But that's a good story about coming in last place. I hope you had a good time during the race and it wasn't as bad as last time. -Jenny

Congrats my friend! I am so excited that you're pregnant and cannot believe that you're doing a triathlon in your second trimester--sexy photo by the way! I also cannot believe your scare with Max and am sorry I didn't know about it sooner. I hope they figure out what it was (and definitely that it was only a one-time thing!!!).
